Throughout the week of November 12-16, students at AMS got a little taste of the college experience during their Mustang Academy. Everyday of the week, there was a new activity to educate and promote college. On Tuesday, students created a college pennant depicting the university of their choice. Winners were chosen and received college swag. On Wednesday, students made posters to promote higher education. They were to wear black and gold to show where their education began and support Andrews on Wednesday. To end the week, all staff and students were encouraged to wear college shirts or colors on Friday. If they wanted to participate, students were allowed to join in and play Bingo on their own time, which required completing activities and going to various teachers across the campus. The entire week’s events were created by the AMS counselors, Mrs. Huddleston and Mrs. Willard.
