Interview With the Abbies
Abigail Hernandez and Abigail Guaderama, current 8th graders, are known for their love and determination for running cross-country. They’re known as “The Abbies.” They both believe that what has helped them improve is going to practice as much as possible. They practice during the school week everyday but Thursday. They also practice out of school hours on their own time when they have the opportunity to. Hernandez’ most memorable achievement is winning 10th place out of over 100 competitors at their first 8th grade meet in Midland. Guaderama’s most memorable achievement is their 7th grade district meet. Their love and determination has contributed to their latest team achievement, 2nd place.
